The Quiet Rules of Italian Coffee
What I learned by watching, not asking.

There are rules. Cappuccino before eleven. Espresso standing at the bar. Never, under any circumstances, a latte after lunch. I broke at least two of these and lived to tell.
The trick, I think, is to order with confidence and drink quickly. Italian coffee is not a ritual of comfort — it is a punctuation mark in a busy day.
